Core Android app 1.59.1

Hello everyone. Are any other Core owners running the just released Core app version 1.59.1 on Android having an issue where, when opening the app the error "Unfortunately, Norton Core has stopped" ? Opening the app initially the first splash screen didn't appear at all and the app closed itself. I uninstalled the app and rebooted my device. Downloaded a fresh copy of the Core app from the Google play store and rebooted my device a second time. I now can get the initial screen where one of two options are present. The one I am choosing is sign in, already setup. The screen error below appears. I CAN step through resetting the router as those steps work, however, that is something I do not want to do at this point. Power cycled the Core with the same results. Core is still functioning as it should, the app is garbage. Anyone else having any issues with the current release?

Cheers

Re: Core Android app 1.59.1

Update: After removing the app and restarting several more times. The app finally opened and I got logged in. The app version and firmware version show as correct and the current versions. I'm leaving the thread open for feedback from other Core owners to respond whether they are having this install issue or anything similar.

Cheers

Re: Core Android app 1.59.1

Hello Soul

I just noticed something odd with your screenshot. Besides what the Popup is showing. I just noticed the Date on the Calendar showing. It says Tue.31. Is that the last time you used that device? Has there been an issue with getting updates since the 31st? Could there be something wrong with the time in that device? Could that be the reason the Core stopped? Was there an issue with the device itself? Just a thought that started with me seeing Tue.31.

Re: Core Android app 1.59.1

Flo, what a sharp eye. All the Android devices show the same Date and date on their calendars which reflects the last day of the current month. My devices are set to auto synch with internet time as well so the clocks are all good too.

The Core app as you know updated on July 3rd without any noticeable changes present and the version remained the same as well. I got that update. The latest update evidently didn't play well with the previous. Core remained working throughout the entire ordeal, just the app not opening UNLESS I wanted to start fresh as if new. No logging in as already setup.

Cheers
