Core is up / App to the cloud is fubar

Core app just gave me these two screens. I disabled wifi on my smartphone and the app did open. To the screen asking me to log in. Funny I never logged out. Same as on the 22nd when Core downloaded some garbage that set time limits on BOTH phone when none were ever set. Difference this time around is I CANNOT even log back into the app. Even more epic is that Core is UP, all devices both wired and wireless are connected and have internet services. I mean Jesus!! Android app 1.27 is garbage guys, what more can I say. Love the Core but this mess has gotta get some real time attention. Gonna power cycle the Core if the app doesn't connect before going to bed but will wait until the morning to do so.

Cheers

Update: Got Core app to connect to the Core via Bluetooth. Logged back in and restarted the router. Will check to see how things are in the am.

Hey,

I'm sorry about this experience. Could you send me logs if the issue occurs again? Thanks.

Will do Gayathri. Core is on-line this morning and doesn't show anything weird at this point.

Re: Core is up / App to the cloud is fubar

I have been experiencing intermittent issues with internet access this am. It appears as though there may be a DNS issue. When trying to access a site on my windows pc, it sometimes connects immediately, other times it will take a minute or so to connect. Sometimes I get a message the the site could not be found.

I too had the same issues last night 12/27.

Gayathri. Are you NOT seeing intermittent issues with accessing web sites?

Re: Core is up / App to the cloud is fubar

I've had issues with internet disruption for a while (2-3 months) now. Finally, last week was too much: had to revert to my previous router so the family would let me sleep inside my own house. Created a case and sent logs on Dec-22nd. No response yet (Dec-28).

I suspected going into this deal that Norton's first-time hardware offering would be interesting (which it has been); but I also suspected that the Norton and Semantec brand would make sure things were made right. I'm to the point where I'm ready to swap my Norton Core for another one to see if it's a hardware issue particular to my router vs. the Core router in general. I'm really hoping that will resolve my issues.

Core has some great features but they're useless if I can't use the router feature.

All: Hang in there with this, its a cloud issue that WILL be fixed at some point. And I DO feel your pain, having Core myself and working through the issues as you all are, is tasking. If I have only experienced two small set backs in 4 months of usage I am happy. Other devices do not even compare to Core. Stay the course, I am confident you will find as I WILL a product that has things coming no other company can match. Have a grand new year!!

Re: Core is up / App to the cloud is fubar

All: Update to firmware version 226 has cleared all the issues I was seeing. DNS cloud issues appear to have been resolved.
