Core is re-naming IOS devices

Weird thing happening with my IOS devices on my network. Core is adding a number on the end of the device name. It looks like the number goes up every time the device re-connects to my core network. Been going on since November. I went on holiday a couple of weeks ago and the device names never changed. As soon as I got home, the number appeared again in the device on both the actual device and on the Core.

Monkeyman This is the first instance I know of where this has happened. Remove your iOS app and reboot the device. Reinstall the app and see if anything changes.

Re: Core is re-naming IOS devices

Thanks for the follow-up. Please post some screenshots of what you are seeing. IE; one of a device as its named originally then another of the change. I'd like to see exactly what it taking place. Here is how to post images in the event you are not familiar with how: https://community.norton.com/en/forums/how-post-image-forums-0

In the meantime please shake your phone with the app installed to send logs. You will get a notice to send logs, and a large comments field. In that field putt in the following info: Your Core serial number > A description of your issue > Your forums username & link to this thread on the forums. Then please send a PM here on the forums to Gayathri_R as she is the admin for Core. Give her your Core serial number as well with the info of the issue.

Cheers
