credit card compromised 2 hours after renewal

I renewed my norton product today with a chat agent.  2 hours later I found out that the credit card I used had been compromised.  $74 was charged to some website in Orly, France.  Just giving a heads up.  Apparently the Norton staff can't be trusted?  The person I chatted with also wanted access to my computer which I found kind of odd.

Did you initiate the renewal, or did you respond to an unsolicited request to renew?  Did you click a link in an email or something similar?
