Custom installation ?

I think Norton should have a option of custom installing. I guess we all feel the need to custom install AVs at some point in time. Its not about particular user I have seen many average users wanting to install some features of AV and some not. Suppose in Norton internet security I don't want to install parental control then ? Yes, I can turn it off but it has already taken the space in HDD. That is the point. Take another example, what if somebody wants to install NIS without firewall ? Then it has no choice. So my request to programmers is that please orovide the option of custom installing.

Thanks,

Sincerely

Re: Custom installation ?

Hi AVReviewer

Since NIS is a complete suite it would be counter-productive to have the ability to "Customize" IMHO.

Parental Controls in not installed with the product - it is for the user to choose after NIS is installed.

If a user prefers not to have a firewall then they could use Norton Antivrius instead - and save money on the purchase price. If, however, they just want to turn the firewall off then NIS allows them to do just that and in the new NIS2011 they can suppress the warning message that would normally bring in previous releases.
