What is the difference between DATA file and CSV file for backing up Identity Safe login information?

That video found, and tells how to backup the information.

You can't read the content of the DAT file as it is encrypted. The CSV file is an Excel file and is NOT encrypted and easy to read.

PhoneMan, Jim

Does that mean, should be obvious, that the exported CSV file should be able to open in Excel or another spreadsheet application and I can see all the information and understand it without further tricks?  Also how would a user use the DATA file?

You can open it in a spreadsheet program by choosing the Comma Delimited option for the import into the program.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
