diagnostic report

In the diagnostic report under scans.  the last item: network connectivity check.  I get a blue box instead of the usual green box. The message says:  " cannot confirm internet connectivity at this time."  I went through all the diagnostic procedures except the "reinstall Norton one"    I have no idea how to do this.  Actually I do seem to be connected just fine, and I did get some diagnostic messages saying that I was connected but the diagnostic report  under the scans menu remains the same. So actually my connection seems to be ok so I don't understand the message in the diagnostic report!    thank you   signed:  David McConaughy

Re: diagnostic report

I am getting the very same thing in my Norton Diagnostic Report as above. Win10 tells me everything is perfect when I run the troubleshooter and HP Network Diagnostics can find no problems. When I run my Norton Quick Scan or Full Scan I do not get any warnings that it will be a limited scan due to no internet connectivity.

Thanks

Re: diagnostic report

I would also like to add to my reply above that every time I click on "Live Update" it checks for updates but it tells me "Live Updates Finished -No Updates Found" so unless Norton has sped up the automatic update service frequency with 360 I am beginning to wonder if there are really updates sitting out there and since Norton is seeing a false problem with the "Network Activity Check" it is not updating Norton 360. When I was on NIS before being switched to 360 there was barely a time when I clicked on Live Updates when there were no updates to download. I feel this needs priority in finding a solution by Norton to solve this Internet Connectivity false problem as like I said this could very well be causing a bug in Updates.

Re: diagnostic report

When you do a manual LiveUpdate, what it finds depends on the timing of the last automatic LiveUpdate. If no new updates have been released since the last automatic run, you get the result you note.  It has nothing to do with the false Network Activity Check issue in this thread.

You can check the Norton Security History to see what updates have been done.

Hello surfergirlGG2. Um we are in the middle of a pandemic would be one good reason why things are getting done as quickly as we'd like. Hang tight, companies are doing their best with the resources available to them.

Re: diagnostic report

Why is there still no fix for this yet ? Norton is starting to make me doubt their products.
