Disable "Anonymous Logon" in Win XP SP3?

I'd like to disable any "Anonymous Logon" in Win XP SP3, on my Toshiba laptop.

Some people seem to think such logon's are an unnecessary security risk for situations like mine, where I'm the only one using my computer.

But, I do use NIS 2009, GHOST and NSW Basic 12.

Will disabling this hurt those products?

Also, does anyone know of a good, "simple" way to disable "Anonymous Logon" -- specifically for XP SP3?

Tks for the help.

Kind Regards,

Robby

Hi Robby:

Since your question specifically relates to damage to Ghost and NSW, I have asked the Mods to move you over to that forum, where you will get more assistance.

Hi TomV, and delphinium,

Tks for putting me in the "right place."

But... although my intial (and immediate) concern is about why GHOST won't work (at least not on "incremental rp's"), there is the "interface" issue w/NIS 2009, on why NIS (?) is blocking access to GHOST, any time it is brought up.

Also, on the "Anonymous Log On" (A-LO) thing -- I'm really mostly concerned that blocking A-LO's will crash NIS.

So.... there are definitely NIS isssues here, too.

Any chance to "double post"?  On this Forum -- and the NIS one too?

Kind Regards,

Robby
