Does Norton utilities work

I have installed norton 360 on my laptops and taken advantage of the utilities. I have used all the tools in the utilities and accepted all the recommended settings. Everything looked good but I have just run the smart scan and the results show 862 problems that might impact my security performance and storage. Can this be correct?
