Does the Smart Firewall protect the whole network?

I'm currently setting up a private cloud storage server that I'll be able to access from anywhere (similar to dropbox). The server is running Linux so, to my knowledge, I cannot install Norton 360 Premier on it. Since the Server is connected to the same network as my main computer(which runs Norton) I was wondering if the Smart Firewall would also protect the other computer from port scans and intrusions.

Re: Does the Smart Firewall protect the whole network?

Norton's firewall only protects the device it is installed on.  If you are behind a router it should have its own firewall protecting the whole network.

A little bit of knowledge is... well a little bit of knowledge.
