Does anybody know whether the EMOTET Trojan can be detected and deleted using NORTON?

Re: Emotet protection

Hello. Emotet is "polymorphic" which means its code changes a small bit each time virus protection scans it. That fact does make it extremely difficult to detect. It can then spread through your entire network and move "laterally" into other subsystems and machines. Former Symantec SEP products ( Now Broadcom ) used in the enterprise world do detect it. Norton as such, uses "signature" based detection methods which in my personal view can be evaded. Emotet can also reside in a virtual machine undetected.

Emotet has been around for a number of years beginning in 2014 and has developed into one of the nastiest forms of malware out there. Both for MAC and Windows platforms. For a definitive answer about Norton detection and prevention of Emotet, someone directly from Norton should provide that answer. I haven't read of nor seen anything around the forums where any user(s) have posted a detection to date.
