End-of-Support announcement for the Norton 360 app on Android 6.x and 7.x

Over the coming months, devices running Android 6.x or 7.x will no longer receive any new product, service or security updates for the Norton 360 app.

For the best product and service experience, we recommend that you update your Android version to 8.x or later. Android 8.x or later provides the system updates that allow us to deliver high-quality products, services, and security for our customers in future releases.

To find and update your Android device to the latest version, follow the below steps:

Find Android version:

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Settings icon to go to the settings.

  2. Tap About Phone or About Device.

  3. Under Android Version, you can find the version of Android that runs on your device.

Update Android version:

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Settings icon to go to settings.

  2. Tap System and then tap System update.

If you cannot find System update, you may need to scroll down or tap Advanced.

  3. If an Android update is available for your device, tap Install to download and install the update.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Can I continue using the Norton 360 app on my device with Android 6.x or 7.x?

You can continue using the Norton 360 app on your device with Android 6.x or 7.x. However, you will not be able to update the Norton 360 app to the newer releases that include product and service updates and security fixes.
