Enough Already with Identity Safe slowing Fire Fox

"A Script in the extension Norton Identity Safe is causing Firefox to slow down"  Actually slowing down would be an improvement. Starting the PC (Windows 10) after hours of non usage can take 5-15 minutes to get up and running. That "Script" repeatedly appears and no matter how many times I click "Stop IT" it keeps reappearing. It is making my PC unusable.

1. How do I resolve this? or...

2. How do I get refund from Norton.

Hello sprintrps. What "script" are you referring to? Norton doesn't run scripts at computer boot time. A screenshot of what you are seeing would help tremendously. Here is how to post screenshots directly into the forums posts. Your statement below is confusing at the very least:

Knowing that you are running Windows 10 my suggestion is to disable "fast startup" on the system under power settings in the control panel. Here is how to do that. Make sure you reboot the system. Having fast boot set to on can cause systems to malfunction in the manner you are describing. If you are frequently allowing the system to hibernate that can cause issues as well. Disable both and reboot. Recheck your startup times.

As far as FireFox is concerned, a website you are visiting would be the culprit for browser related scripts. You MAY have picked up a PUP (potentially unwanted program) through a site visit with an embedded script or a third party download. Download and run Malwarebytes to check for those being resident on the system. Please let us know your results.
