Error: could not rediscover device

When I try to rediscover my primary iphone, I always get the message "Error could not rediscover device. Like another poster, I'm trying to refresh the device so the "Norton Security installed" will actually show up since it is installed. Any insight would be appreciated.

Reboot the router and phone at the same time, try to force them to synch!!!

amrobx1 I know this will be a pain. My suggestion is perform a factory rest on the core router. Setup again to ensure nothing was omitted by mistake. DO NOT run the new firmware install, just get things going and see if things are corrected.

Make sure you reinstall your app for IOS on your primary phone as well. The latest version is for IOS is v1.14

Apple IOS devices tend to assume that a DHCP lease is an iron clad promise. They assume they still have the lease even if they've lost the connection and then re-connected. This often leads to DHCP sync issue (IP conflicts are the most notable).

Well, as tedious as it was, this worked. I've had to reset it a few times already for other issues since resolved, so what's the harm in one more reset?

amrobx1 Glad to hear the solution was a good one for you. Sometimes more than one head long blast fixes things. Synching can be a royal PITA any time. All new things take time to work out the issues. At the request of an Symantec person I have given them a list of some things which should be added to the FAQ on the Core website. They will get more suggestions as they appear here on the forums. Hopefully those will be implemented in the near future for customers to review and better make decisions from. Have a great day and enjoy the new router.
