Error msg: "Norton Security Scan cannot launch because %CCROOT% failed intialization!"

Daily I have received this dialogue alert box for some time:

"Norton Security Scan cannot launch because %CCROOT% failed intialization!"

I have tried scans, running advance Norton  utilities and reboots. No change or apparent fix.

I have tried to search community thinking not an uncommon problem, but it comes up empty and search unavailable try later and to contact site admin. if  problem persists which it has for days. Any help appreciated.

Norton Security Scan is EOL

End-of-Life announcement for Norton Security Scan

Norton Security Scan will be retired for Windows platforms and will no longer be available for download after April 1, 2020. Norton Security Scan ceases functionality on June 30, 2020.

Uninstall "Norton Security Scan" same as any program....machine Restart (not Shut down)...scour File Explorer for remnants.

Maybe, check Task Manager > Norton Security Scan > End task > Uninstall

Maybe, all that remains from "Norton Security Scan"...is registry remnants/dross.   
Were my machine.  I'd run CCleaner Registry Cleaner with back up + machine Restart (not Shut down).  Just me.
