"An error occurred while accessing your settings data"

Has anyone had this  subject line error before? I have been getting it when I try to set my time zone. I have tested other time zones, and some of them return this error too. As I have been having numerous other Core issues, I suspect they may also be occurring do to corruption. Yes, I have reset the Core with data erase a number of times without any improvement. Too make sure I was not dealing with malware issues due to all my Core issues I've run a lot of detection tools: 1. Full Norton Security Scan, 2. NPE scan, 3. NBRT scan, 4. one of those usb FixMeSticks, 5. Malwarebytes, 6. Malwarebytes Antiroot kit, 7, Kapersky's USB malware tool, 8. EST Online. Since no malware returned from any of those scans, I'm pretty confident I have no malware issue. At any rate, if my Core is showing errors in data settings than what confidence can I have that it is performing it's security function properly. Personally, I'm like a Core replacement, or be given a way to wipe the firmware, and reflash it, if I am making sense at all there. Oh, I had set an appointment thru Chat for a Norton Support person to call me. They never called. Talked to chat again. Techs were supposed to call me in 24-48 hours. They never called. Most recent chat session, I was given an open ended they will call you. I do work at home. It's important, to me at least, that I get this Core working reliably, or get another router to me in the mail. The customer service at least in my case has been quite lacking.

What you are seeing could be an issue with the app on your mobile device. What device are you using, IOS or Android? Try clearing the app data for the app, restart your device, then set up the app again and test. If that does not work, try removing the app data, uninstall the app, restart, then reinstall and test.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Identity Safe data.

Hello Mickey. Core has of late been having issues in a number of areas. Since we aren't getting any responses to the bugs that are being submitted, some of the Admins are on vacation at the present time, I can suggest the following. Shake your phone that the app is on with the Core app open. A dialog will appear to submit logs. In the comment field add a short description of the issue you are having. Also add your username here on the forums, your Core serial number and the link to this post. This will tie the logs to you personally. Please send a private message to Gayathri_R as well here on the forums and provide her with the link to this thread for her to review.

Cheers

Re: "An error occurred while accessing your settings data"

I appreciate your feedback. I think what I'm going to do is purchase a new Core, and test it's performance versus my present Core. If the new Core has no issues on my network than my present Core is obviously defective. We'll see. I'll let you know. I telecommute for an IT center at a university in Texas. The stakeholders of course don't care that something is wrong with my home router. Job has to be done. And I can't go into the office because that is 553 miles away. At any rate, I'm off to Best Buy. I should probably by another router brand, but when it is working right, the Norton Core remains the best product on the market.
