ESET deleted NCrypt.exe. How to recover?

ESET detects NCrypt.exe as a virus/trojan and removes it.

I was fine with this initially, but now want to play "the crypto currency game".

I'm at the current release version of Norton 360.

Besides waiting for the next release, is there a way to download only the crypto portion?

Re: ESET deleted NCrypt.exe. How to recover?

Hi,

It is not recommended to have 2 security products on the same machine.

The other option is you can try whitelisting NCrypt.exe, so it isn't removed. Thank you.

Curious, you run ESET Smart Security | ESET NOD32 Antivirus & Norton Security/360 at the same time?

Or, you ran ESET on-demand Online Scanner and ESET Online Scanner removed NCrypt.exe?
Um, can you recover NCrypt.exe from ESET Online Scanner quarantine?

ESET Online Scanner FAQ
[...]
Why are infected files in quarantine after the scan?
All infiltrations and infected files are moved into quarantine by default. Files in quarantine no longer represent a threat for your computer, because they are isolated from the operating system. You can either restore selected files or delete them from quarantine.
Warning! Please, restore files from quarantine only if you are sure that they are not malware or infected files.

Why not refresh your Norton Security/360 install if you cannot recover NCrypt.exe from ESET quarantine?

Re: ESET deleted NCrypt.exe. How to recover?

I typically run more than one anti-virus sequentially on a daily basis, as not every virus is detected by each and every anti-viral application.

Of course zero day attacks may escape all of my attempts to keep them at bay.

I delete any thing that ends up in quarantine, except for a system file(s).

So..... Where does one download the executable, and will the Norton gui recognize it's return to the proper sub-directory, or is a reg-edit also required?
