Exclamation mark in Norton Password Manager settings

Hello,

Whenever I open the Norton Password Manager (ID safe) settings, there is an orange exclamation mark on the bottom of the window and in the tab "general". It seems like it is indicating an error/danger, although I cannot find any. Additionally, it does not display Microsoft Edge as a browser, though it is my default. See screenshot below. Is this a bug or should I do any changes to settings? I have both safe web and password manager installed and activated in Edge.

Thanks,

John

Hello tzon89

It might have something to do with the status for Firefox since it cannot be determined.?

Re: Exclamation mark in Norton Password Manager settings

Hi floplot,

I don't know why Firefox appears undetermined. I have never installed the browser on this PC.

It just seems that the settings are outdated and possibly causing false messages. I can tell from the fact that Edge is completely missing, though Windows 10 was released in 2015!

@tzone89,

With Edge set as your default browser, it will display the Exclamation Mark, it will not display it if Chrome, IE or Firefox are selected as the default browser.

Which means that the product is not 100% adjusted to Windows 10...

Re: Exclamation mark in Norton Password Manager settings

It is not so much not adjusted to Windows 10. But since the browser protections have moved to individual extensions in the browsers, instead of controlled by the main Norton Security product,  the code that reports issues and creates that exclamation mark seems to not have been updated.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
