Explicitly excluding program from IP/Firewall scanning.

Hello everyone,

I'm not a program savvy so I could not find the answer anywhere, and here I am asking for help...  So, right to he point. I need to exclude some programs from firewall scanning but I do not know how to do that. Running W7 (64 bit) and Norton Security with Backup.

Thanks in advance!

Regards.

Hello A_Simer

Welcome to the Norton Community Forum

Can you please explain what you mean by programs from firewall scanning? Thanks.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Norton Core Security Plus 22.17.3.50 Core Firmware 282 I E 11 Chrome latest version.

Re: Explicitly excluding program from IP/Firewall scanning.

Hi floplot,

The big picture is that I'm having some problems with a game, and one of the solutions to it was this: "Malwarebytes anti-malware softwares IP protection feature will aggressively scan all network communications and can cause performance issues. In order to remedy this situation FSX/P3D , ASN, and ASConnect components must be explicitly excluded from IP/Firewall scanning".

So I don't know if they might be referring to stop Norton from scanning that program or something like that; something like preventing Norton form the connections those programs might have.

Thanks for the quick replay.

Regards.
