Norton password manager will not open in chrome or Edge. When I click on the Icon, then open the vault, a page opens up, the circle spins on the page, then the page dissapears. Very frustrating. I have rebooted the computer. What is the point of a password manager if you cant access it? Might as well go back to the pen and paper.

Not opening in Firefox, either. I seem to be able to log into the Norton account OK, but the vault gives this error:

The one time I decide to try to use a password manager, I use this, created complicated passwords to make sure my logins were secure, and now this happens. I can log into the regular my norton website but I cannot access my password vault. Norton please fix this.
I am on Windows 10 home (64-bit)
Version 22H2
OS Build: 19045.2130
I am using the extension in Firefox 64-bit version 106.1
I cannot even use the norton password manager app on my phone to access my passwords.

Thank you, but the webpage says "Norton Password is Operational" so unless it still relies upon "Norton Family"? Unclear...

And, all my computers too... Well, it seems at least the problem is not intermittent! So it should be easier to solve as a result.... theoretically...
Wow! Interestingly, Norton has characterized our issue as "INTERMITTENT". So, place your bets!
Something just happened, the tab no longer disappears immediately! But our good friend the Error Message appears and then the tab disappears again!

Having the same problem, and its a MAJOR problem for me. 370 passwords that I cannot access!!! Removed the extension, and now when I try to reinstall the extension, https://idsafe.norton.com won't open, so I cannot reinstall the extension.

Password Manager won't open in both Microsoft Edge extension or directly through the Norton program. Online it says that Norton Password Manager in operational. I say BS. It works on my iPhone.
I have used Norton for 3 years and this seems to happen often. Maybe its time to move onto something else ? I feel so vulnerable that all my passwords are locked up and I can't access anything until Norton fixes the issue.

Having same problem opening password manager after a Norton 'update' last night, even tho' I have shut down laptop overnight and restarted it 3 times today. All I get is a briefly rotating circle! Seems I'm not alone with this problem! I do not have time or skills to download or reinstall. Not good enough Norton!

I have the same problem, not working in Chrome since about midday, not even Win10 or Windows7. Please fix urgently Norton.
However, my Edge browser was already open and continues to work. something has happened in the last two hours for logging in (only). But can confirm Password Manager if you had it open this morning is operating, at least in Microsoft Edge.

I am having the same problem. Hit the Norton Password Manager from Chrome browser, Hit Open Vault; sorry, Something went wrong. Please try again. It has been like this for over one-half hour.

Same thing happened to me on my PC. Tried my laptop and it's the same thing. Tried from both Edge and Chrome but no luck. Tried to login into my vault from the web browser but that ended up with same error. Haven't been able to login since this morning (Australia). It's been 9 hours!

Same issue. Password manager extension redirects to the portal address then crashes seconds after.
If this does not count as a major issue for these goofballs at Norton I don't know what else will. They haven't even addressed it officially.
I swear I'm at the point of simply cancelling my subscription all-together, shame, this company did everything right just a few years back. Now is quickly going down the drain.

Same for me. Password manager gives the same "sorry" message. I rebooted computer, tried Google and Edge. Been going on at least an hour or so. On hold for chat, but it's been a long wait.

Same issue, wont load or when it does load and lets me put my password in, it fails anyway.

I am having this issue as well. Trying to make an offer on a house in the morning and get into mortgage lender site where I used Norton to autogen a password. I see on their status page they think this issue was resolved over an hour ago, it definitely hasn't been resolved. I've been clearing caches, restarting, uninstalling and re-installing for an hour and still having the issue.

I ended up going on to Norton's status site and saw that Norton's family was down. The password manager is part of family. So I ticked the notify box to notify me when it was fixed, which it did do. But very frustrating and a warning to have important passwords etc noted down somewhere else.

Status page is finally acknowledging a major outage for Norton Family. Base on the incidents opening and closing as resolved every 5 minutes on that component it just looks like some automated process just keeps running in a loop. Hopefully some real humans will wake up and start working on it soon. https://status.norton.com/

It doesn't do any good since they keep closing the tickets every 5 minutes and then re-opening a new one. I'm pretty sure there's an automated process that's logging the ticket, trying to reboot something, and then closing the ticket as soon as the server comes back up... then it crashes again and the process opens a new ticket...

Problem seems to be resolved, just opened Password Manager in Chrome and Edge and no problem. As I said previously it already worked in Edge as it was already open this morning.
