Extremely slow browser sessions Better Srf?

Has anybody heard of malware with the name 'better srf', or close variants?  I have received no relevant messages from Symantec about it.  I have tried to remove it using 'Hijack This' but it cannot be touched.

That seems suspicious, especially since any online work using my browser (Firefox) is extremely slow, almost unusable.  When I type I can get 4 or 5 letters ahead of myself.  All other operations, like searching and loading, are also slow.

SO, my question is a dual one.  What is bettersrf and could my online problems be a result of an infection by it or something else?

I would suggest you sign up at one of the free Malware Removal sites below. Do not try to do anything on your own as it could make things harder for the Malware Removal expert at that site to help you. Choose one and stay there until your system is clean.
