Re: factory reset

You have to reinstall your product. I would run the remove and reinstall tool to remove the corrupted install, reboot then log into your account and get a fresh copy of your product there and install.

Re: factory reset

Thanks SoulAsylum, just tried to reinstall product, but its got a bit complicated, when i performed the factory reset, it took me back to windows 8 and reactivated a trial period norton product, when i reinstalled windows 10 the product disappeared, now when i try to reinstall my current norton product, its installing the trial norton product, there is only 1 day left on the trial product so i'm going to try again tomorrow to see if that works, anyway thanks again for your advice

Re: factory reset

Wondering if you ran the R&R tool and did it find/remove the remnants of the older install? Perform a REMOVE ONLY using the advanced tools and reboot. Download your product by logging into your Norton account, reinstall your product directly from there. It should activate during the install process.
