False positive results

I tried to download a program, but NS blocked it as untrustworthy.  I sent the program into Norton's, to have it checked out. Now what happens?  There was not a place on the submit form for my address, so Norton could let me know if there was something wrong or if it was okay to download the program.  I could not even enter any information about why I sent the program in.  Is this a case of "No news is good news"?

Um, did you use this form > https://submit.symantec.com/false_positive/

and did you step thru the pages and did you see this page > https://submit.symantec.com/false_positive/standard/

Re: False positive results

bjm_, thanks for your quick reply.  No I did not use those pages, which I have added to my bookmarks.  I manually added the files to the quarantine folder and from there I clicked on Options and then I think I clicked on Submit to Symantec.  I'm not too sure because I can't retrace my steps.  I think that was the procedure I found in Help..  Wrong procedure?

Sure, use Submit to Symantec if available and/or use this form > https://submit.symantec.com/false_positive/ if you want Symantec/Norton to re-analyze an item of interest.
