Family house rules do not match

If I set house rules on the browser or app they do not always sync with each other, often causing supervision to turn itself off. Question is, anyone else have this problem and what can be done to fix it? Picture is a screen shot of my Family settings from the app and browser, which are not in snyc. I have tried all the usual reinstalls, etc, this has been going on for a while

Re: Family house rules do not match

Hi @slloydev

Thanks for reaching out to the Norton Family forum. We notice that Time policies are setup unique to individual devices in the account. We didn't observe any issues in the logs when you update the time policies. Could you check if you are comparing the time policies of same device from Browser and Parent app?

Could you please select each device in Time house rules through any interface ( Browser or Parent app) and ensure they are updated to your need.

Regards,

Karthik.

Re: Family house rules do not match

Hi Karthik

I monitor 3 device for my son, phone, surface and PC. The example I gave was for the PC in both screen shots, its the same device. However the problem of mismatched Allowed Hours and Blocked Hours occurs across each of the 3 devices. I only sent you one example to prove the point.

To confirm, I am comparing the same device across the browser and app. The problem still exists.

And your last point of "updating to my needs", that the problem, I update a device on the app and it is not reflected in the browser and visa versa. The rule my son then gets conflicts and it either does not get applied or the wrong one gets applied.

Case in point in the screen shot I sent, I reduced his hours to 2 in the browser for every day but he still got (and used) 7 from the app on Wed/Thur/Fri.

Thanks

Simon
