A Few General Questions on installation and WiFi privacy

Question 1.  Don't have a device showing up on My Devices.  Says the subscription service is "Active".  Already tried to uninstall/reinstall and still not showing up.  It was the first device I installed Security Premium.  It is a Windows 10.  Went through all the set up options and completed scans.  I also clicked on the Green Active and it connected to the Norton Server and replied back saying my status expired in 366 days.

Question 2.  What does WiFi Privacy protect?  Does it protect any data leaving the phone or just information direct from a browser?  When I was doing research on VPN I thought I read somewhere that information from installed APPS aren't encrypted.  This doesn't make much sense to me since most phones rely on APPS and a VPN would be almost worthless that way.  I already purchased and installed this then I thought...is my phone 100% protected?

Question 3.  Installed WiFi privacy on two different phones with no problems.  Tried to install it on a Microsoft Surface tablet, Windows 10.  The icon is in the toolbar and when you click on it, only a small white box shows up in the top right corner.  I am unable to move it, resize it, etc but was able to scroll asking for email address but unable to type anything into the box.  I have already unistalled/reinstalled 3x to no avail.  I installed Security Premium with no problem on this device.  This is the only Windows 10 mobile device I have so I don't know if this is Windows 10 problem or other?

Thank you in advance for assistance with these issues.

Re: A Few General Questions on installation and WiFi privacy

1. Go into your Norton Security Settings - Administrative Settings, and scroll down to Remote Management. Be sure that setting is on. Restart your computer and give it a little time to sync and check your account again.

2.  Norton Wifi Privacy, NWP, encrypts all data leaving your device, then un encrypts all data returning to the device. It does not matter what app you are using. If it connects to the internet, the data is protected.

3.  I have no experience with the Windows Surface, so I'll leave this question to others.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Thank you for replying but...

1.  Remote Management is toggled off, unable to turn on.  Tried to follow instructions but didn't work either.

2.  thank you for clarifing.

3.  I put the Surface in portrait mode and was able to login however after that I am only able to see half the Norton page on both landscape and portrait.  I know you can't help but hoping someone else is looking at this.

Re: A Few General Questions on installation and WiFi privacy

We have seen an issue where the Remote Management setting is greyed out on a new installation of Norton Security.  Try opening Norton Security, then click/tap on More Norton, then click/tap on Manage. Then try logging into your Norton account from there. Once you have done that, check the Remote Management setting again to see if it is on, or at least available to be turned on. Then check to see if your device shows up in the Devices page.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
