File cleanup missing remove temp files from chrome. I have uninstalled and and reinstalled several time and doesn't help. Had this feature before. Still have it on other devices, one of which I just installed it on. I need help please

"FIX NOW" GOES TO FILE CLEANUP - SHOWS "CHROME CEMPORARY CILES" - COMPLETE BUT WHEN CLOSED OUT HAS "FIX NOT COMPLETED" IE ISSUES STILL REMAINS NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU RUN THE FIX NOW HELPPPPPPPP

Please turn off your caps lock.
Did you restart your computer after running Fix Now. Restart, not shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1, 10 or 11, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. See more information here.

After reinstalling, have you run LiveUpdate manually a few times, restarting as necessary, until no updates are available? Then restart again. Restarting, not shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1 or 10, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. Tried all of that. Norton took over remotely and they couldn't fix it. Then they tried to tell me they no longer have that feature, it runs it the background. I told them I knew that wasn't the case, since I just installed it on my laptop, and it is there.

It was the other user that posted in all caps.
Did you check in Settings > Tasks Scheduling to see if the setting is turned on?

That option is missing from task settings. I have no idea what is going on. Very strange

Open the classic 360 interface and click on the Internet pillar.Then check what is reported as the Default browser. If it is not set to Chrome, change it to Chrome and then restart your computer and see if you can see the setting.

I'm not sure I understand how to do that or what classic 360 interface is! I do know I have Chrome set as default browser in Chrome settings and in Windows 10 it is set as default.

The Windows and Chrome settings do not carry over to your Norton product. You can set a different browser to open when you click on any links in your Norton product.

I have it all set up correctly. It works just fine on my older Dell computer where I also use Windows of course, and Chrome. Also works fine on my laptop with Chrome. It is only this computer, and it was fine a week or so ago, and then just disappeared. I appreciate the help.

I had this same problem, which developed after a Windows update. I reinstalled Chrome and the problem disappeared, chrome temp files were being cleaned again.

I've done that several times. Wish it would work for me. Perhaps I'll try it again. It's really annoying. Thanks!
