Screen freezes when executing Custom Task to display details for file clean ups.
Try looking in Norton History. From the drop down box at the top, choose the File Cleanup option. Choose one entry and click on More Options at the bottom left. That will show what was cleaned.
Same results, unable to display details, Performance option and Custom scan.
What O/S, Product, version?
Version 184.108.40.206 was the issue. It's a Norton WIP right now
Performed a removal and reinstall that resulted in installing Version 22,7.1.32. Was instructed to indicate "No Automatic Live Update" in settings to avoid an update to Version 220.127.116.11. Worked well, but not to run Live Update manually.
Just remember that not running LiveUpdate also does not update your protection definitions. I would think that not being able to see cleanup details is a small price to pay for proper and up to date protection.
This was a recommendation from LVL 2. There are more issues with the new version than what I discovered. The aforementioned version in my latter reply is currently the latest, as well as, when one performs a removal and reinstall, Ver 18.104.22.168 is installed. They pulled Version 8.0.50 from an install. Check with support as to their status of 22 .8.0.50 as to a production version. When you get a status, let me know. We need a chat line for community.
I discovered a workaround to enable displaying details when selecting Custom Scan. Select Custom Scan then close the Norton Home Page, voila, one can now display the details. Note: Only select the removal options, deselect the other options, now one can now display the details.
When using the Performance option, select File Cleanup then close the Performance option page. One now can display the details of the removals.
