File exception feature not working

I constantly download trainers from cheathappens.com. NAV would scan, block, delete the .exe file, but would allow me the option to restore and exempt it. Suddenly NAV started running the same process everytime I tried to run the .exe file. I double checked to make sure the folder and files for the trainer are except. I am sceptical about turning off Auto-protect to play a game.

Re: File exception feature not working

The only time I ever saw this happen with Norton is when the file(s) in question where classified as High Risk material.  Have you checked with VirusTotal.com about the file(s)?  It would be interesting to see what other scanners find.

Thank-you for your response. Norton support replied with this: Upon further analysis and investigation we have determined that the software in question meets the necessary criteria to be detected as PUA.Keygen (PUA) and will be reclassified accordingly.
