Fire Wall Alerts - X in upper right hand corner

There used to be component control in Norton, which was very useful.
Now you just get one alert for each parent and it approves all of the children processes
This is dangerous.
So No you are stuck with allow this instance, block this instance.
I know I should switch to an advanced firewall solution, but I dont have time now.
What exactly ... not speculators ... what exactly does the X in the upper right hand window of the firewall alert box do.
Does it allow the process if you click it?
Is it the same as silent mode?

I'm asking for a screenshot because most of us let the Smart Firewall be smart and make the decisions for us.
