Firefox 24 and Chrome 30 Support for Norton Toolbar

Hi everyone,

The Norton Toolbar is now compatible with Firefox 24 and Chrome 30 [Currently in Beta - 30.0.1599.37]. We have released a Firefox 24 & Chrome 30 (fix) compatibility patch for Norton Internet Security & Norton 360 21.0.1.3 which is available via LiveUpdate. The patch is also available for the Norton 20.4.0.40Norton 2012 Norton Identity Safe standalone product.

This patch is also available for the NIS & N360 21.0.2.1 update. Please see the announcement for more information.

Note: For the 2012 versions, this patch requires a reboot.


We recommend that you have the latest version of Norton Internet Security or Norton 360 installed.  If you are not seeing the Norton Toolbar in Firefox 24, check and make sure you're running NIS or N360 21.0.1.3. Please visit our Norton Update Center to receive the latest update. 

 

You may need to run LiveUpdate and reboot a few times before your product is completely updated to the latest version. It will appear in the LiveUpdate history as Norton Toolbar Add-on for Firefox.

 

If you are running Firefox 24 and Norton Internet Security & Norton 360 21.0.1.3and still do not see the Norton Toolbar, please ensure the Norton Toolbar plugin is enabled. You can do this by clicking on the Firefox menu, selecting Add-ons, and then clicking Enable next to Norton Toolbar.

Please note: We now only officially support Firefox 22.0 and above. Firefox 21.x and older are no longer supported. See this announcement for more information.

We've released a patch addressing the Firefox 24 Crash issue which is now available via LiveUpdate.

Norton Toolbar : 2014.5.1.6

Norton Vulnerability Protection: 12.0.0.380 -1

 

This patch targets Norton Internet Security & Norton 360 21.0.0.100, 21.0.1.3 and 21.0.2.1

 

Note: These patches does not require reboot on Win7 & Win 8 machines

We've released a patch addressing the Firefox 24 Crash issue which is now available via LiveUpdate.

Norton Toolbar : 2013.4.3.7

Norton Vulnerability Protection: 12.0.0.380 -1

 

This patch targets Norton Internet Security, Norton 360 & Comcast Norton Security Suite 20.4.0.40.

We're working on updates for the toolbar in v19 and the Standalone version. They will be released shortly.
