Firefox/ID Safe/ Local Vault

As long as Norton is "redesigning" the toolbar to work in Firefox, why don't they give us the option of the local vault. I have no use or trust in cloud.

I agree with tomg88, I have no use or trust or want the cloud.

Re: Firefox/ID Safe/ Local Vault

Hello

If you have ever had the local vault, there is a way to get it back. Please see User elsewhere's thread.

Thanks.

You could post your suggestion in the Product Suggestions board, but don't hold your breath.

A little bit of knowledge is... well a little bit of knowledge.

Unfortunately, that thread on restoring the local vault requires you having a local vault to start with.  I can't be sure, but it appears that following that may cause memory issues.  The thread got mysteriously locked.

Krusty13, I could post it anywhere, but smart enough not to hold my breath.  There were a number of threads a while ago with customers screaming for the local vault.  Norton seems to only hear what it wants.

The thread requires that you must have had a local vault at some time. Either on the machine you are installing on, or an any other machine you own.

The thread being locked is because there was no activity for a certain amount of time. You do not need to post into that thread to take advantage of the information. If you are trying the process and having difficulty, just start a new thread and reference the original thread.

Re: Firefox/ID Safe/ Local Vault

Please refresh my memory - but has the option to revert to NIS 2012 become unusable to regain the Local Vault? I recall what a PITA that option is, but if you never had a Local Vault it may be the answer.

This will be OS dependent. As long as the user is not using Win 10 it will work. IIRC the older Norton versions will not even install on Win 10.
