Re: Firmware Updates - Scheduling Q

x_code_x There is never a set time or date for firmware releases. However most times they happen over night and on Pacific Coast time.

Cheers

Re: Firmware Updates - Scheduling Q

Thanks.  So the reason I ask is because it seems to always happen for me around 7-8am right in the middle of the morning rush. Which of course interrupts internet, which of course these days fouls up everything and everyone in the house.  I did notice my Core was still set somehow to Pacific Time Zone, so I changed it to Eastern. Do you think that will make it happen at 4-5am now instead of 7-8am which would be much better?  If not, I was wondering how to schedule it to happen in the middle of the night.

Re: Firmware Updates - Scheduling Q

Indeed the Core sets the default time when new firmware installs to Pacific time zone. At least it has for me. Presently there isn't a way to "schedule" firmware installs that I am aware of. My upgrades always happen overnight. This morning it triggered at 4:34 am Eastern Time.

Re: Firmware Updates - Scheduling Q

OK great, yes that's what I'd want as well. So it must determine by the device's local time zone settings and not a standard time across all. Hopefully resetting it to my proper time zone (Eastern) will make it happen between 4-5am now which would be much better.  I'll keep an eye on the next update.

Thanks again!
