Fix This Issue Not Working?

Using Norton Security on a Mac System 10.13.4

Got a pop-up this morning telling me that my virus and spyware definitions are not up-to-date. I ran live update and my definitions are up-to-date. However, the Norton Security window keeps telling me to "Fix Now."

The Norton symbol I have at the top of my screen also has an exclamation point telling me that there is a problem - the same 'Fix Now.'

So...I've run a scan which did find 4 issues and deleted them. My definitions are up-to-date. But security appears to still be unhappy.

I'm using Chrome although I do have Safari on my computer as well.

What should I do to get this alert taken care of.

Thank you very much, in advance, for a simple to understand solution.

Re: Fix This Issue Not Working?

Hello tkgold. My suggestion is to remove your Norton product, and reboot. Reinstall your product and extensions once done. Let us know how you made out.

Cheers

Hi @tkgold,

Thanks for reporting in Norton Community Forums. Can you please upload below requested logs for further investigation?

To whom should I upload the logs? And, now that I have these support files opened in a folder on my computer, what should I do with them?

tkgold. Just below the "Add Reply" box there is an area for file attachments, "add a new file". Select browse to find the SymantecInfo.zip file created using this article, and click Upload. An admin will download the files and process them for review.

Re: Fix This Issue Not Working?

I solved the issue by shutting down my system and rebooting. Got the same warning. Clicked on fix and the warning went away. I did not have to remove and reinstall.
