Force Insight to ALWAYS Block a site or Software?

Hello ALL:

This will be the opposite of what is usually asked.

I have software that keeps wanting to update. Since the update (not Windows) OFTEN breaks the software, I do not want it to d/l. Insight has been great as it pops up about every week and says it detected the launch of xxxx.exe and blocked it. This is great but what I am worried about is that it said the reason was that the Reputation was unproven

My issue is that if it ever IS PROVEN, I am afraid this will then launch. So, how can I make it NEVER be OK? Insight says that xxxxx.exe from www.xxxx.net/xxxx.zip tried to put this file xxxx.exe in users/public documents/ and it was already an exe from the zip I guess.

If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is!

Is something wrong with my post as it shows that it has not even been read yet?

Most software updates are controlled from that software. Just look in the settings for the software for update settings.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Peter I have done that and told the software to not update. However, as I can see with Insight it tries to do it anyway. That is why I wondered if there was some way to tell Insight to never let it run the file that the software insists on downloading anyway.

That's not really Norton's job.  Maybe better to contact the developer of the software.

A little bit of knowledge is... well a little bit of knowledge.
