Frustration with UI is about to make me switch AV

I run my computer with a standard account that has to enter the admin password when something important needs done.  However, Norton wants me to log into my admin account to do any work.  It will not allow me to make changes from my other account at all.  I should be able to enter my admin password.  I am really beginning to HATE Norton because of this.

Most recently, it started blocking a program I use fairly often, and I have no way of fixing it from my standard account.

I have used and evangelized your product for years, but if this is not resolvable, that is probably about to stop.

Hi, Opus Krokus. You are not alone, but judging from this thread Symantec has done it for a reason.

I have run my computers on admin accounts for many years, and have yet to be infected.

Also Norton Guru bjm_ highlighted this reply from  Symantec employee.

That first link in your reply is broken. Running in admin will not change your chances of being infected, but if you do get infected, it most certainly affects what the infection can do to your computer. There is even a good chance that you would not know if you were infected depending on the purpose of the infection. Your machine can be used as a spam-bot or a zombie for a DDOS and might never know. I have been in IT for two decades, and no one will ever talk me into running my standard account with admin privileges. As I said, I could not read the link you referred to. However, whatever the excuse, I should still be able to make those changes without having to switch accounts. You can do just about anything in programming if you are willing to spend the resources to make it happen.

The link works for me, and I run other checks with various programs, and they have yet to find anything more than tracking cookies.

I also use MalwareBytes Anti Exploit as an added level of protection.
