Full Scans wont finish
Running Norton Security and Windows 10, around 2 weeks ago my scans stopped finishing, they get to a certain file and just stop, they don't end, they just stop running and it's impossible to close the windows (I really mean impossible, cross in the corner doesn't work, ending process with task manager doesn't work, the only way to get it gone it to restart the entire PC). I was told it was a problem with Windows.old files, so i deleted them, but it just continues to happen on other files.
Tech support recommended that i reinstall, which i did (15 times and counting), run power eraser (Which i did, multiple times also), run a quick scan (Which i did, multiple times), make sure my product is up to date (Which i did, multiple times)... Just keeps stalling, They then recommended i keep it open "For a while" to see if it's just a big file and take some time, so 48 hours into the scan, it's still on the same file.
Remote assistance doesn't work, they give me the 6 digit pin, and the file i have to download doesn't open. It downloads, just doesn't open.
How the hell do i fix this?
