Getting FB to have audio.

Whenever I go onto Facebook to video chat with someone on Facebook, Zoom, etc. a message appears:
"Couldn't Connect to Your Camera or Microphone
Your camera or microphone are either not connected or not supported. For troubleshooting suggestions, and information on supported browsers, visit our Help Center."
I went there and nothing was said. Is there a fix or a way around the issue? TIA.
