GoogleSoftwareUpdateDaemon

I’m using Norton AntiVirus Plus 8.7.3 on a Mac with OS X 10.10.5 and Chrome Version 87.0.4280.88.
Norton AntiVirus keeps popping up a box saying, “The application ‘GoogleSoftwareUpdateDaemon’ is attempting to use the Internet.” and asking me to Block or Allow.
I always check “Don’t ask again for this application.” And it doesn't matter if I click Block or Allow, it will come back later and ask the same thing. It’s constantly interrupting me several times a day, stealing the focus from my active window and disrupting my work.
I think if I check "Don't ask again," it shouldn't ask again. How can I get it to stop asking again?
