green autosave problem

The green "autosave" flashes every second and is always on, can't see what you type.  HOW DO WE TURN THIS OFF or adjust the frequency?

Re: green autosave problem

Possible work around since when  I last saw it it was on the top line would be to put a few blank lines first

But I'm not seeing it at the moment so perhaps it has been disabled pending the move mentioned.

Re: green autosave problem

Still there, but your workaround to enter a space line works!

Glad to have your confirmation.

As you'll appreciate priority at the moment is fixing the PM Spam issue as soon as possible.

Geez, are we ever gonna get rid of Auto Saved

and didn't we used to have vertical scroll bar?

I hope not as long as it goes to a more sensible position.

Geez, are we ever gonna get rid of Auto Saved in the pita position and moved to a more sensible position.

I'm sure we will if the spam problem is considered no longer top priority.

For some reason I'm not seeing the Autosave -- is it only on replies and if so why? -- but pestilated by the Browser localStorage is full bar the self propagates like fruit flies . And yes I have tried all the suggested remedies here and elsewhere.

Only work-around is Firefox which makes it sound like a Norton trigger <gdr>

Re: green autosave problem

Yes you are. The Autosave green bar is gone! The notification is now at the bottom bar of the text editor, not in any typing area. Let me know if this works better for you.

Re: green autosave problem

I see the new no color auto save in the bottom bar.  Very nice.

Hi bjm_:

I started a thread about that issue on 15-Nov-2017 at Vertical Scroll Bar Disappears While Composing Replies in Editor and I'm still waiting for a response from one of the Forum Admins.

Re: green autosave problem

Would be nice if there were an option to set the time period for autosave (or have an option to get rid of it altogether).  While it's not as bonkers-intrusive as it had been, I am still getting autosave every 6-10 seconds, which is too often IMO.

Re: green autosave problem

I do not mind the frequency of the autosave, now that the intrusive green box is gone. It does not seem to affect the performance of the reply box.
