Has the latest NIS 22.7 abandoned Vista?

According to https://community.norton.com/en/blogs/product-update-announcements/norton-227-product-update-available-now Vista is not among the supported OS.  Is this correct? Has Vista support been discontinued?

According to https://community.norton.com/en/blogs/product-update-announcements/norton-227-product-update-available-now apparently Vista is not among the supported OS. I'll see if I can make sure of it.

As to "windows 7 and the new update isn`t working on either system" if that means that the update has not yet been received on Windows 7, please note the following from the above announcement:

"2. When will I receive the patch?

As is our standard practice, we are deploying the patch in a phased manner. We have released the patch to randomly selected customers, and will then monitor our telemetry, as well as this forum, for any problems or issues.  Once we have confirmed the effectiveness of the patch, we will make it available to all customers. We will post an update on the Norton Community Forums when we make the patch available to all customers."

Re: Has the latest NIS 22.7 abandoned Vista?

The update is on my windows 7 machine, i installed it myself, that is where my problems began.

I then installed on vista and got the exact same problem.

If somehow i now have a product which no longer supports my system, i will be seeking refunds for my remaining time.

Do any norton staff actually comment here, or are we just talking to other people with the same problems?

davey00 .......Do any norton staff actually comment here

Sometimes they do, and sometimes they give us the answer/comment.  As I said above, I have asked about Vista and am awaiting a reply which I'll post here as soon as I receive it. Thanks.

You can tell Norton Staff because their names are in red ....

Gurus are users but selected by Norton to help Norton Staff get on with fixing things by giving answers when they can.

How did you install it yourself? The only way to get the update is to run LiveUpdate. If it is available at the time you run LiveUpdate, you will get it. If it is not available at that time, you will just have to keep trying over  the next week or so.

I ran the live update, that is how i got it.

I then ran it on a vista laptop and it installed on that one too.

The laptop i am on now, i did not run it on and this one is fine.

ITMA.
Trouble with the latest version of NIS
22.7.0.75

Downloaded & Installed by manual LU, on my Vista 32 machine.
The 'Product Manual' on the 'UI' 'Help Center', still shows Vista 32/64.
Checked with 'Get Support', OK.
Checked 'LU', OK.
Checked 'Quick Scan', OK.

On a 'REBOOT' the 'Windows Security Center' indicates:-
On turning on the  'Windows Firewall', the following prompt occurred:-
I've left the 'Windows Firewall' ON.
Come on NORTON, what's working and what's not ?

I've been informed that Norton 22.7 is very much compatible with Windows XP & Vista, and the Update Announcement (link above) has been edited accordingly.

ITMA.
The OS availability have been updated.
The 'New Version
22.7.0.75 ' is floundering, somewhere in 'awaiting' ?

' CYNICISM ' is my middle-name, which is strange, as it appears nowhere on my birth certificate.
Both parents are, likewise,
fully documented.
