Help please

Phone model Coolpad / Cool play 6. OS details - Andriod version 7.1.1 security patch level 01/Aug/2017. UI = Journey build number 1000. HW version P1. Base band version MPSS.TA.2.2.C1-00501-8976-GEN-PA. kernel version 3.10.84-perf-gb88d7fe build farm @ bf-sz-04#2 dt 25/Aug/2019 Time 19:52:04 cst 2017.

Norton mobile security version 3.22.0.3322 

Issue

a. I am forcing liveupdate otherwise it does not happen.

b. malware scan which will happen whenever mobile is restared (in old phone) is not happening

c. malware free notification icon is gone most of times. i don't know how to take screen shot, since pressing power button does not show that option.

d. web protection = setup is not happening even after doing all options

e. contact backup = requires signup, but not proceeeding further

f. app advisor / scan on google play is not happening

g. web protection setup is not happening

h. norton applock = is not working. version 1.2.0.252

i. renwal = how much money? any offer with norton wifi?

First question is have you restarted your phone since installing Norton. Just like PC's a restart can solve a lot of problems.

Are you checking this from the Activity Log in Norton Mobile Security, NMS? There was an issue with the previous versions of NMS that were addressed in the latest release.

b. malware scan which will happen whenever mobile is restared (in old phone) is not happening

This is by design. When the phone is started, it should check LiveUpdate and scan the device to make sure you are starting with a clean system.

c. malware free notification icon is gone most of times. i don't know how to take screen shot, since pressing power button does not show that option.

Most times, or all times? Try going into the NMS Settings. Tap on the 3bars at the top left and tap App Settings. Make sure Ongoing Notifications is checked. If it is already checked, uncheck it, restart your phone, and then re check the setting. Sometimes settings just get muddled.

What options are you referring to? The only option is on or off.

Check this again after restarting your phone. A couple of other users have been reporting this lately. Are you using a non English version of NMS?

f. app advisor / scan on google play is not happening

Did you turn on the feature in NMS Settings?

g. web protection setup is not happening

Same question as (d) above.

What is or is not happening that makes you say it is not working?

This depends on what market you are in. There is no combination with Norton Wifi Privacy, NWP. This is because of the fees required for NWP service that many users will never use and would not want to have to pay for nothing.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

sir please find screenshot where nms malware icon is missing in notification area and recording where google app advisor is not getting on even after setting up.  the service(s) applock and norton mobile security goes back to off. all are compressed in zip file. 

unable to record scanning not happening when switching on phone. please give me some time, i will find from internet and submit the same.

reg. liveupdate, same as above para. please give me some time.

Sorry. I cannot see anything in the zip file that shows anything about App Advisor not working. The mp4 file has nothing to do with anything here.

Did you try the suggestions I gave above for resetting the product notifications setting to try to get the icon back?
