hook.dll

hook.dll is part of a program I use to play an online game it is recognized as a trojan by norton because it infects itself into the game I play I want it added to some sort of a safe list on my norton 360 I just bought norton 360 3 days ago and now I need the **bleep** thing completely disabled for me to play my game its very aggrivating please help and yes I have no punctuation

Try opening N360> settings and add it to scan and auto protect exclusions.  That could work if you are running version 5.  You may need to upgrade, which you can do for free with a current subscription.  You can also submit it here, which might serve to update the definitions.
