Re: How Can I Delete A Norton Account?

Hi Dubble__D,

For your old subscription account you need to contact the Norton OnLine Support, and they should be able to assist you.

Use this link https://www.norton.com/chat.and work on from there.  This should put you in touch with your local Norton support if you are outside the USA.

Re: How Can I Delete A Norton Account?

Hi Dubble_D,

I hate to say it, but I do not think you can remove the old expired licenses - I have one going back to 2005 and I imagine others have older ones.  It seem to remember this discussion from the past, but can not rememebr the reason given to keep the info there.

Let us know if chat helps any!

Hello Debbie

Are you still using any Norton products now? Do you have a different mynortonaccount that you are using now?

The old account I need to delete is my Dads.  I have consolidated my NAV and his NAV product/subscription under my Norton account (since I maintain his PC), so I would like to delete his old, unused account which recently had a product/subscription expiration.  His PC is equipped as follows:

NAV Version 21.1.0.18 (registered under my Norton Account)

2013 Dell Inspiron Windows 7 64 Bit Sp1

Not even sure it can be done, but if it can you have to contact Support as Rainbow_2 suggested above.

If all the subscriptions in that account have expired, there would be no issue leaving the account dormant.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Thanks for the reply.  The only issue for me Peter, is the continued emails he receives following the expiration of a NAV subscription.  I wish I could just opt-out of these emails, but that is not possible without deleting the entire account.  FYI, as I said in an earlier post, my Dad continues to have NAV on his PC, but the product is registered on my Norton account (I manage 2 active NAV subscriptions on my Norton account, both his and mine).

Those emails should stop about 30 days after the expiry of the subscription.

That's good to know peterweb...I'll just leave the account dormant then, per your earlier reply...thanks again for your help.

Hello

Those emails could be coming from Dell if the computer came with a trial version of the Norton product. They are afraid that the computer is running without any security program.

FYI, Dell does not know my Dads email address...Norton does know my Dads email address via his Norton Account.  These emails are not coming from Dell (there was a trial version of MacAfee on his PC), they are coming from Norton.
