How can I stop receiving alerts for an email/password combination I no longer use?

I am being inundated by Dark Web Alerts for what I assume are machine generated variations on a password I no longer use.  How can I get Norton 360 to stop sending me alerts for this password and its innumerable variations?

Hmm.... wonder if ya'll have to remove the monitored Email address to stop passwords notices.
Or, is that the Email associated with your Norton account?

Thanks.  It is, in fact, the email address associated with the account.

From your Norton account ... have you answered any Dark Web Monitoring alerts?
Note: I'm not seeing any DWM alerts.

Maybe, change the Email associated with your Norton account.
Lets hear from Community -  I'm curious to learn how to stop receiving notifications?

BENEFITS OF EMAIL ADDRESS MONITORING
When an identity thief accesses your email, they may use it to gain access to your personal information, such as your passwords or info about your gaming accounts. They can then change the passwords to these accounts and lock you out.
LifeLock will send you notifications when we detect that your email address may have been exposed by identity thieves on the dark web.

I'm receiving six to twelve alerts per day.  I waited on the phone for about an hour and 45 minutes to talk to someone during what was supposed to be a low call volume time period, but finally had to hang up.  I then wasted further time on chat - each response took interminably long - until they finally suggested I try calling again.

Just a thought - maybe, change the Email associated with your Norton account.
I don't know if changing the Email associated with your Norton account will stop as reported with your opening post.

I'm curious to learn...does Dark Web Monitoring have a notifications off switch....granular notifications off switch.

If I change the email address associated with my Norton account, then if Norton finds one of my current email/password combinations on the dark web, I won't receive an alert.  I may do that though if there is no other way.  Thanks for your continuing thoughts on my problem.

So, you have confidence in the Email now associated with your Norton account.
And that Email is specific to just Norton or is a general use Email address.

Yeah....I've no notion whats what that's causing multiple daily (six to twelve alerts per day) Email notifications for the Email associated with your Norton account..... with no ideas - no instructions how to resolve....what to do.
How to resolve six to twelve alerts per day.   How to silence unwanted notifications.

It's a general use email address, which needs to be used for dark web searches because it is the one I give to online vendors.  It may be that the reason I am getting multiple alerts is because a computer program is creating and attempting to use variations of the old password, assuming the same password was used at multiple sites with slight variations.  I am loath to change my email address, but I may have to consider it.

Hmm.....I'm curious if I may....while we discuss to raise awareness....from your real world scenario.  Dark Web Notifications are - may be informative... albeit, what to do about Dark Web Notifications is ________?.

If I received a dark web notification for a password I was currently using, I would change the password.  But when one receives a deluge of dark web notifications for a password one is no longer using, it is a pain in the ass.

Thanks for saying what I was thinking --- seems like we'll all be changing whatever monitored information can be changed ...ad nauseam.

Information stolen or exposed in data breaches or hacking incidents, or leaked information can be bought and sold on the dark web as "lists" by identity thieves. This information may be old or could even re-appear several months, or years following exposure of the information.

"Exposed" information does not necessarily mean that your account(s) have been hacked. You can be proactive and take several actions to help protect yourself. Change your password for the site/service mentioned in the notification. In addition, if you use the same password for numerous online accounts, make sure you change these passwords as well. Enable two-factor authentication whenever offered by a site or service. Visit our Dark Web Monitoring Support Article for a full list of helpful tips and guidance.

Even though you may have unsubscribed from a website or may have deactivated your account, your data may still be present in their data systems and could be exposed during a data breach, a hacking incident, or another type of data leak.
