If you are close to the expiry of your current subscription, you can just let that expire and then purchase a subscription for the number of devices you wish to cover. If you do this, you need to be sure you have turned off automatic renewal in your Norton Account for your current subscription.
If you wish to do this immediately, you need to contact Norton Support and request they downgrade your subscription. www.norton.com/contactcs

I've been with Norton for many years now, but when I was charged an extortionate amount last year (3 figures!) after having paid around £50 previously, I was not going to renew this year as I was being charged yet another 3 figure sum, then I noticed it was for a ridiculous number of devices, when I really only need to cover one. I asked to change to 3 devices and was quoted £19.99, I accepted this, then found my Norton renewal in my email account for £29.99 I decided to leave it and although the protection wasn't due to run out until 28th June, the money was taken out of my account in May.
I got the fright of my life when I started getting messages last night that my account had terminated & I needed to renew, as I thought it would renew automatically. I have been into my account and can see that the new subscription needed to be down loaded manually. I have done this, but still getting the 'subscription ended' message. When will this change? I can see that Norton is operating OK on my W10 desktop, but would like the 'final warning' message to disappear.
Also, whilst I'm here, can I ask, do I need to do a separate download on my W7 laptop?

When you changed to the 3 device subscription, it sounds like a new subscription was set to start after the old one expired. So the warnings you are getting are from the old subscription. You will continue to get those for about 30 days.
As long as your Norton product shows Active, or a number of days remaining, you are covered.
