How to de-register from Norton Community?

There was another thread before now that asked the same question except that it had used the word 'unregister'. I had followed the recommendation there and I had done a Norton Chat.

The dumb thing is that Norton Chat agent (ha ha...) then asked me to contact Norton Community. So, I ask the agent (I still can't believe they are called agents!) for the email address to send my query to because I do not see any email address on this site. She implied that she did not have an email address for me and I should post my query on the forum. So, I informed her of the availability of this forum thread (mentioned above) where a Norton employee had asked the original poster to contact Norton Chat. Yet she insists that I put my query on Norton Community forum and that someone will attend to me.

So, here I am, feeling like a jackaxx, doing an illogical thing. Is there anyone who can help me? I don't understand why Norton just won't create an option to de-register on their site. It makes me feel like I am stuck with a virus that would not let me go.

Re: How to de-register from Norton Community?

Not sure what it is you want to de register from? Your thread title mentions the Community, which is these forums. Yet you have only made this one post here.

Are you asking how to delete your Norton Account? This cannot be done. All you can do is go into your Norton Account at  https://my.norton.com   and remove all personal information and billing information. Then just abandon the account.

Re: How to de-register from Norton Community?

Thanks Peter. Yes, I do want to delete my Norton account. I had actually wanted to sign up for a Symantec account.
