How to i prevent my children disabling Safety Minder please?
do they have restricted accounts or admin for the pc?
No to both as far as I am aware.
One obvious thing is parent's password used for installing Norton Safety Minder should not be shared with children. The other recommendation is to create a standard user account for children. They should not be given Administrator privileges on the computer. Please see following link on how to create user accounts for children:
Also, you should configure OnlineFamily.Norton to send you an alert (notification) via email whenever Norton Safety Minder is disabled on child's computer. Please see following help page to know how to set up notifications:
I have set up my daughter's account as a standard user acct and I am the admin.
I have an account for her on every PC in the house.
I have the email notification set up and i still receive this notice:
Norton Safety Minder on Angela's PC used by Angela has been disabled. As you know, Norton Safety Minder is required on every computer monitored by OnlineFamily.Norton.
I have no idea how it is getting disabled? I just changed my password for the admin acct on her computer and on my Norton Family Online.
What else am I missing?
My siblings do not know my password. My mom does not want them accessing info that they are not supposed to access. How can i prevent Safety Minder from being disabled, what you posted shows how to create user accounts.
