How do I view estimated time remaining on a full scan

Hello I'm running a full scan for the first time and wanted to know how I can view the estimated time remaining as I. Can't see it anywhere

Unfortunately, you can't.  Sorry about that, but feel free to post your suggestion here  -  Product Suggestions.

A little bit of knowledge is... well a little bit of knowledge.

Re: How do I view estimated time remaining on a full scan

I've seen an old version of AVG check all files on the computer then track how many files they've scanned and how much data they've scanned. You could then see % of files scanned (by number of files) and % of files scanned by size. It gave an ok estimate of how much was left. Disadvantage is that at some point (prior to scan completion) it had to enumerate all the files on the computer, which made the scan take a few minutes longer.

Hi Arsenal123,

Not exactly what you are asking but perhaps the following can be of some help all the same.  If you want to view the scan which is running:

Open Norton main UI > Security > Scans | tick Custom scan and then click go. In the Scans window click  at the right of Full System Scan, and the running scan should appear .

Please note that the above refers to Norton Security and since you posted in the NIS & etc. board I hope the above steps are the same.
