I have IS on Android mobile device installed and open but it doesn't fill in logins.
What device and Android version are you using?
Do you already have a vault that you use on a PC, or other device? Does ID Safe work correctly on the other device?
What browser are you using on the mobile device?
Using Chrome, when I browse to a site with a login, there is a Norton icon in the login box. Tap on that and you are asked if you want to have ID Safe fill your credentials. If the icon does not appear immediately, I found tapping on anywhere on the page will bring it up.
I am having somewhat of the same issue. I am using a Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 that just updated to Android 8.0. Chrome is my default browser. Prior to the update I got the Identity Safe Icon to log into sites with Chrome. Now since the update I get nothing. I contacted support last night by chat and that was no help as they just told me to use the browser in Identity Safe. Any ideas to get it to work with Chrome again? Chrome Version is 68.8.3440.91. I have IS on my laptop running Windows 10 with no issues. I apologize if I hijacked the thread. I can't find anywhere else to put this.
Have you restarted the device since the update to Android 8?
Try going into Android Settings - Apps and look for ID Safe. Clear the app cache and app data. Restart your device and sign back into ID Safe. Then see if things work correctly.
I have followed all of your instructions in the order given and no help. I still get no IS icon to log into any site using Chrome. I did restart the device multiple times after the update thinking that might be the reason but still no help
I should also mention that it also does nothing as far as autofilling for apps even though the "App Autofill" box under settings does have a checkmark next to it.
Maybe the update to Android 8 caused some issue with your installation. I would suggest reinstalling your ID Safe app on that device. Start by going into Android Settings - Apps and look for ID Safe. Tap on that and clear the app cache and app data before you uninstall the app. Then restart the device, and reinstall ID Safe, and test.
So I did what you requested in the order given and still won't work on Chrome. I still get no IS icon to tap. I guess I am going to have to set IS browser to default. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome as well with no luck. I don't know what else to do
Maybe sending some logs to Norton can help with this. Open ID Safe on the device with the issue. Tap the main icon, then tap Settings, then Help. Turn on the Enable Debug Log setting. Now try to reproduce the issue you are seeing, using 2 or 3 web sites that do not fill. Keep note of the sites you are visiting. Then go back to the Help screen and tap on Send Error Report. Include your forum user name and a link to this thread.
Information sent. Hopefully I will hear from them soon. I will pass along any info. Thank you for your help and time!
Further testing on my part.
My first observations for posting in this thread were using a Samsung Tab A (2017) on Android 7.1.1. The ID Safe icon did show in Chrome browser on this device and would fill in logins as expected.
Testing on my HTC Desire 320 on Android 4.4.2, and I am seeing the same as the other posters here. No ID Safe icon showing in Chrome. I was testing using the sign in to my Norton Account. I have submitted logs.
Is there any new information on this? Norton, Symantec...anyone?
I have not seen or heard anything. I'll see if I can escalate this issue through my Norton contacts.
Can you post your ID Safe version?
I am using ID Safe V 5.3.0
