How to unblock intrusion attempt

They are getting "an intrusion attempt by X.y was blocked"

How do they tell Norton to ignore the intrusion attempt?

Thanks!

Re: How to unblock intrusion attempt

Why would you want to unblock an attack?  Intrusion Prevention events are only very rarely false positives.  In almost all cases, these are real attempts to compromise your computer.

They are testing something. How do they tell Norton to ignore this particular intrusion attempt?

Re: How to unblock intrusion attempt

You can exclude an attack signature by following these steps:

Exclude an attack signature from monitoring.

  1. In the Norton product main window, click Settings.

  2. In the Settings window, under Detailed Settings, click Firewall.

  3. Click the Intrusion and Browser Protection tab.

  4. Under Intrusion Prevention, in the Intrusion Signatures row, click Configure.

  5. In the Intrusion Signatures window, uncheck the attack signature that you want to exclude, and then click OK.

  6. In the Settings window, click Close.
